These Applesauce Brownies may just be one of the fudgiest, moist, dense brownies I’ve ever made (so far!). And I can’t believe it only take 3 HEALTHY ingredients!
• Egg Free
• Dairy Free
• Grain Free
• Gluten Free

• Seed Free
• No Sugar Added
• High Protein
• Paleo
• Vegan
If you haven’t already hopped on the Nuzest wagon, then do it NOW! If for nothing else, do it for this recipe alone!

Don’t even get me started on all the smoothies you could make! Ok, enough blabbing and let’s get to funky town! (AKA: baking these delicious brownies!)
Brownie Ingredients:
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/2 cup of my Probiotic Digestive Support Nuzest Protein
1/2 cup unsweetened cacao powder
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients until a thick dough-like batter forms (it will be super thick like play-dough)
2. Line a small dish or bread loaf pan with parchment paper and transfer batter evenly into pan.
3. Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes and allow to cool completely before frosting / slicing.
Now, the frosting is not paleo, dairy free, or vegan but it is STILL delicious and healthy! And only 2 ingredients!
However, if you are vegan or paleo, or want a dairy free alternative, try my 2-Ingredient Chocolate Frosting instead! Or my 2-Ingredient White Cream Cheese Frosting is also vegan and paleo friendly!
Frosting Ingredients:
Nancy’s Greek Yogurt with Honey
Unsweetened cacao powder
Directions:
1. Mix yogurt with cocoa powder until you get a thick frosting. No exact measurements. Adjust to taste and desired thickness of frosting.
Just ordered the ingredients for this!! Can’t wait to make it. We’re tracking our macros, any idea how many servings this makes and what the macros are.
Hi John,
I don’t count calories or macros, but all the info and measurements are there so feel free to calculate yourself. 🙂 Enjoy!
Awesome!!! Thank you!!! Looking forward to making these.
Hi Lily !
This looks so damn crazy ! But unfortunatelly, I don’t have any baker nor microwave. Would you have an alternative cooking method (steam, water or…) ?
Thank you very much
Sorry, but I’ve only tried it in the oven but feel free to experiment yourself and let me know how it goes!
looks really yummy and I can’t wait to try this. For a thicker frosting you can try whipping the yogurt with cottage cheese, btw. Delicious.
great idea!
I tried your recipe this morning. Both my husband and I LOVE IT (and that’s without any frosting either, just the brownie)! I bet it would be great with pumpkin too. Thank you for developing another winner.
I love how this recipe is so simple and you also get a boost of protein! I often use applesauce in my brownies because it keeps them moist and adds sweetness with no sugar. 3 ingredients though wow! Thank you!
I hope you like them Stacy! 🙂
And another great creation! YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She’s done it again folks!! Bethany, I love how you make recipies so simple and still so delicious!! It really helps me conserve energy and still make fun food 🙂
I’m so glad you are enjoying them Ali!
