I get asked quite often on Instagram about “ingredients”….and if you follow me closely in stories you know I am VERY careful what I put into my body as well as any partnerships I do.
Read this post about my view on endorsed posts in the social media world.
And just when you think something is “safe” or “healthy” it’s not. So so help sum up and give you a “go-to” list of ingredients to watch out for, I included them below with links to why and the health risks.
Please note: I am not listing ingredients obviously toxic to use (like MSG, splenda, or carrageenan of which we already know are horrible for us and can cause cancer) but instead, I am listing ingredients that are still thought to be “healthy” and are marketed as such. Of course, I simply cannot list everything and there will always be something “new” on the market as the latest and greatest (and it’s usually too good to be true). But hopeful the list below will guide you and help you in cleaning up your diet…and most importantly, your health. Cheers to better digestion!

Again, the above are just a FEW ingredients to help guide you, but there are more. When in doubt, always ask yourself:
1) Do I know what this is?
2) How is it made / where does it come from?
3) How does it get from its original form to this?
I hope this list was helpful! Any questions feel free to send them via Instagram. See you there! @lilsipper
