That Erewhon paleo bread is all over the gram, but who really has $16 to spend on ONE loaf of it? If you’re a foodie like me, I’m sure you’ve splurged on a special item here and there, but spending $16 for a loaf of bread on the regular just isn’t my cup of tea.
Or perhaps you’re on the East Coast and don’t live in Los Angeles where the famous bread is sold…..have no fear! I gotcha!
This is LEGIT and you WILL be making this on the regular!
If you make it, be sure to snap a pic and tag me on Instagram so I can see and share your creation!
Ingredients:
1 tsp baking soda
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
5 eggs
2 Tbsp coconut flour
¼ cup flaxmeal
1 tsp sea salt
¾ cup almond butter
1½ Tbsp raw honey
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients in a stand or electric mixer until well combined.
2. Pour batter into a standard bread loaf pan lined with parchment paper and bake @ 350 F for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Lauren says
Hi! So excited to try this! If I don’t have a mixer is it possible to mix by hand or do I need to get a mixer? Thanks!!
Bethany says
I only tried it the way indicated, but feel free to mix by hand. 🙂
Stephanie says
Can’t wait to try this.
Michaela says
would any nut butter work ?
Bethany says
technically yes, but it won’t be true to the “erewhon paleo bread” 🙂
Bryan says
At the moment I have almost everything I need except the coconut flour. I have to make a market run tomorrow morning anyways so I’ll just get the flour then. Great recipe!
Paulina says
Does this need to be refrigerated? How long will this last? Can’t wait to make this. Thanks!
Bethany says
I have been storing mine in the freezer (pre-sliced). It thaws very fast. Store up to 3 weeks.
Patricia says
I wonder if this can be made vegan? I will have to try and see cause I have found that I am allergic to eggs:(
Bethany says
Sorry, you need eggs
Megan says
Do you think we can sub the 5 eggs with applesauce? I usually use Applesauce for an egg sub in recipes for my daughter because she has an eggs allergy. Just wondering if you think it would work in this case?
Bethany says
no sorry. you need eggs 🙂
momwithajob says
Can I add vital proteins unflavored collagen to this too? 🙂
Bethany says
yes of course you can! Love that idea!
momwithajob says
Thank you! Bring more health to the loaf! 🙂
momwithajob says
What can I substitute the honey for if I have Candida?
Bethany says
you can leave it out
momwithajob says
Ok thank you :):)
Jackie says
What can you sub for flax meal if I don’t have any!? Thanks so much!
Bethany says
nothing. The recipe calls for flax meal hun 🙂 You can try chia seeds but it won’t resemble the true paleo bread recipe
Jenn says
Cleanest recipes all the time! Thank you. Do you think I can use sunbutter in this?
Bethany says
Sure but it will turn green 🙂 Just a heads up
Jenn says
Thank you! And yes! I’ve made your sunbutter bread and I love it 🙏
Nadia says
Could I sub coconut flour with almond flour?
Bethany says
Feel free to try, but it will be different and won’t resemble the true Erewhon bread
